The Rolls Royce KHD 312 turbine engine

The engine was developed for the RAF Panavia Tornado Aircraft and was used to generate shaft power, hydraulic pressure as well as compressed air to start the main engines. The Reduction Gearbox of the turbine retrofit has been designed to fit as a bolt on configuration. It has a reduction of 2,64:1 ratio with aerospace Zerol type gears manufactured for this application from an aircraft gear cutting company. All housing parts are made of aircraft aluminum 7075-T6. The engine has been though an extensive testing and development proccess at our facilities to ensure the perfect match for the Piranha.
